Spend a delightful evening at the Washington, D.C. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as the Mormon Temple for its Festival of Lights Celebration. This impressive church and its surrounding grounds shine brightly with more than 600,000 outdoor sparkling Christmas lights. Each night, a different local musical group performs a live concert in a state-of-the-art theater. You are welcome to explore the Washington, D.C. Mormon Temple grounds and the Visitors’ Center and see a life-size outdoor nativity scene, an International Creche Exhibit featuring more than 100 displays representing nations and cultures of the world, decorated indoor Christmas trees, The Christus, an eight-foot marble replica of Danish sculptor Bertell Thorvaldsen’s famous statue of Christ, an indoor exhibit of international nativity scenes and a selection of Christmas films, and much, much, more!
