Day 1
Welcome Aboard! Join Gunther Tours for a yuletide season weekend get-away to see the colorful Christmas light displays and to experience the mighty thunder of Niagara Falls. We will enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant before checking into our hotel, the Country Inn & Suites, located on the Canadian side of the falls, for the next two nights. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the falls with its spectacular views, many fantastic attractions, and shops for plenty of holiday shopping. (D)
Day 2
After a buffet breakfast we meet our step-on guide, and depart for a tour of Niagara Falls. The tour will highlight Niagara Falls famous sites, including the Canadian and American Falls, the Floral Clock and several points of interest along the Niagara River Parkway, including Brock’s Monument at historic Queenston Heights, the Hydro Electric Plants, the Spanish Aerocar, and Queen Victoria Park. We will also visit the 7-story high, surround sound IMAX Theater, home to the IMAX film, Niagara: Miracles, Myths & Magic, and amazing exhibits depicting the history, legend and daring escapades of the many daredevils who have tried to conquer these mighty waters of the falls. Later enjoy some leisure time exploring the first capital of Ontario, Niagara-on-the Lake, and browse its many specialty shops and restaurants. Lunch is on your own. Next we return to our hotel where you will have some time to relax and freshen up before going out for a delicious dinner in the revolving restaurant high atop the Skylon Tower with breathtaking views of Niagara Falls. After dinner we will visit the Butterfly Conservatory, (a year round tropical paradise where butterflies are everywhere, and if you stand still they will land on you). Before returning to the hotel, step aboard our deluxe motor coach for a ride through Niagara Falls for its annual “Festival of Lights”. See the city decorated for the holidays featuring Christmas themes, lighted trees and animated displays. (B, D)
Day 3
After a buffet breakfast we depart for home taking with us fond memories of Canada’s largest lights festival, Canada’s treasures, and the mighty Niagara Falls. We will stop at the Duty Free Store where there will be time for some last minute holiday souvenir shopping on our way home. Happy Holidays! (B)
