Christmas at Biltmore Estate

Day 1: Welcome Aboard!  Join us for a fun-filled get-away full of spectacular scenery, holiday cheer and yuletide spirit in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina.  After checking into the Doubletree Biltmore Hotel for the next two nights, we are treated to a delicious buffet dinner at the hotel.  The hotel is located one block from the entrance to the historic Biltmore Estate.  (D)       

Day 2: After a full breakfast we depart for the legendary Biltmore Estate for a day of sightseeing.  The Biltmore Estate is the largest privately-owned home in America.  Highlights of the Biltmore Estate tour include access to the George Vanderbilt’s French chateau style mansion, it’s formal gardens, and the estate’s winery where you will be treated to a wine tasting.  A delicious family style luncheon is included at Biltmore’s Deerpark Restaurant.  In the afternoon we return to the hotel where you will have time to relax and freshen up before tonight’s special evening.  We begin the evening at The Grove Park Inn Resort with a delicious dinner in the main dining room, lavishly decorated with festive trees, yards of garlands, and unique yuletide displays.  Next we take part in a magical holiday celebration, Christmas at the Biltmore Estate by the glow of candlelight.  Experience the spectacular recreation of a 19^th century Christmas at George Vanderbilt’s 250-room French chateau decorated with more than 35 magnificent trees, and the sound of singing choirs and chamber music filling the air.  (B, L, D)          

Day 3: After a full breakfast we depart for home taking with us many pleasant memories of a wonderful get-away to the mountains full of yuletide spirit, music and holiday cheer!  Happy Holidays!  (B)
