Autumn Leaf Train Ride

& Luncheon at Hunter’s Den

Wilmington, DE

Surround yourself with the beauty and splendor of Autumn during the most colorful time of the year.  You’ll travel round trip in antique passenger coaches pulled by a coal-burning steam locomotive or an early-generation diesel locomotive.  A trip on the Wilmington & Western Railroad will take you back to a time when the steam locomotive ruled the rails.  From your seat on the vintage train, you’ll see the past as never before.  History will come alive, senses will be excited, and a forgotten era will be relived, and you just might have a little fun along the way!  Join us for a journey from Wilmington to Hockessin, Delaware.  You will travel through some of Delaware’s most beautiful countryside, and you can only see it from the train.  You’ll pass grazing horses, golfers, quiet neighborhoods and the rolling waters of the Red Clay Creek.  We will disembark in Hockessin and enjoy a 30-minute layover to browse the local shops before we re-board the train for our return trip.  Before the train ride, enjoy a delicious luncheon at the Hunter’s Den Restaurant.  Please provide a meal choice when making your reservations.  Your choices are Chicken Marsala, Flounder with Crab Imperial or Prime Rib.
