Blending five centuries of news history with
today’s technology, this unique museum presents a window into the history and
collection of news. What will you find when you get there? Fourteen major
theme exhibits, fifteen theatres, hundreds of artifacts from major news stories
including eight giant forbidding sections of the Berlin Wall and photos and
videos that recall disasters from the Hindenburg explosion to the John F.
Kennedy assassination. There’s a huge limestone chunk of the Pentagon from that
fateful September day. Always wanted to be on TV? Here’s your chance! You can
record your own newscast on one of the eight “Be a Reporter” stations. This
place is fun as well as educational! A seafood buffet lunch is included
at Phillips Flagship Restaurant, a popular Washington, D.C. restaurant
overlooking the Washington Channel on the Southwest waterfront.
