Today we travel to Flemington, New Jersey
to visit Northlandz, and experience an astonishing tour through some
of the finest scenery in America in miniature, all under one roof. We begin
our adventure at the Great American Railway, a spectacular 1 mile indoor
through a miniature world of up to 100 trains running across 8 miles of track,
35 foot mountains and 40 foot bridges. Marvel at the thousands of handcrafted
buildings and over 10,000 freight cars. Next we visit La Peep Dollhouse.
This 94 room mansion is every dollhouse lover’s dream, complete with an indoor
swimming pool and much more. Next we visit The Doll Museum. Gathered
from around the world, this exhibit of over 200 collectible dolls have been
brought together for this unique display. Next we visit TheMusic
Hall. A 2,000 pipe organ in the centerpiece to this 500 seat theatre. This
37 rank, 5 manual organ creates truly inspiring sounds and an atmosphere of
wonder. Next we visit The Art Gallery. Over 100 gallery locations
present a cultural array of over 250 paintings and works of art. We conclude
our visit at Northlandz on board the Raritan River Railway. This 2/3
scale steam train replica travels through tunnels and over bridges to give you a
relaxing ride through nature and rich woodland landscapes. A delicious
family style luncheon is included at Alfonso’s 202 Restaurant. A
rest stop will be made en route to Flemington, and a fast food stop will be made
on the return trip home.
