Pennsylvania’s Natural Wonder

Day 1: Welcome Aboard!  Travel in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach as we head north through scenic Pennsylvania’s countryside to Williamsport, Pennsylvania.  Our first stop is at a local restaurant for a delicious lunch on your own.  Following lunch we depart for Wellsboro, Pennsylvania and the Tioga Central Railroad for a 1 ½ hour train excursion.  Settle into the clicked-clack of the rails, enjoying the beautiful Tioga Country countryside as we make our way to gorgeous Lake Hammond.  Next we continue on to Mansfield, Pennsylvania and check into the Comfort Inn, our accommodations for the next two nights.  Tonight we are treated to a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.  (D)        

Day 2: After a hearty continental breakfast we meet our step-on guide, and depart for a day of sightseeing.  We begin at the Patterson Farms Maple Products in Sabinsville, Pennsylvania.  Upon our arrival enjoy a guided tour and a deluxe sit-down sampling of products, including pancakes and ham with syrup, fruit with maple creams and more.  It’s a snack for some, meal for others and free for all!  We tour Highland Chocolates next and after our tour everyone can enjoy special treats while  browsing the gift shop.  Next we depart for the amazing and unique Pennsylvania Grand Canyon Overlook.  The breathtaking beauty of this area will surround you as we will enjoy a covered wagon ride, (with padded seats), into the Canyon’s upper gorge!  Before returning to the Inn, we conclude our day with a delicious dinner at a restaurant that serves up great local flavors.  (B, D)             

Day 3: After a hearty continental breakfast we depart for Williamsport, Pennsylvania and the Hiawatha Paddlewheel Riverboat for a 1-hour Susquehanna river cruise.  Next we depart for Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and a delicious buffet lunch at the Country Cupboard Restaurant.  Finally, before departing for home, we conclude our day at Colonial Candlecrafters for a workshop tour, candle-decorating demo and browsing in the gift shop.  (B, L)
