Rappahannock River Cruise & Winery

Tappahannock, VA

Virginia’s Rappahannock River abounds with scenic beauty, history and excitement!  Today’s adventure begins with a scenic two hour, 20-mile cruise up the Rappahannock River aboard the “Captain Thomas”.  You’ll want to bring your binoculars!  You can get a close-up look at our magnificent national symbol, the bald eagle, and see these nest in the trees and cliffs beside the Rappahannock.  You’ll also see the many species of waterfowl and historical points of interest while enjoying a relaxing cruise upriver.  Following our cruise up the Rappahannock we visit one of Virginia’s largest premier farm wineries, Ingleside Plantation Winery.  After our arrival at Ingleside, we enjoy a buffet style lunch, a guided tour of the winery and a tasting of some of the premier wines that Ingleside has to offer.  Don’t forget to visit the unique gift shop.  Next relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the scenery as we cruise back down the Rappahannock River.  Fast food stops will be made both en route to Tappahannock and on the return trip home.
