Today we visit two special shops at Hickory
Bridge Farm. In addition to serving fine food, the farm’s restaurant has a
lovely gift shop that features a variety of cards, candles, and plush animals.
Located directly behind the restaurant, is The Country Store, a
wonderful museum of store items from the past. The store offers a selection of
old fashioned candies, and variety of food products made in their own kitchen.
A delicious family style luncheon is included at the restaurant, followed
by entertainment. A professional actor trained to depict Mamie
Eisenhower will join us for an engaging presentation. Mamie will discuss
the Presidential years, politics, and war with Ike. After our entertainment we
depart for a short ride to Adams County Winery where you will be treated
to a private tour of the wine making facilities, followed by a private tasting of selected Adams County wines. The wine tasting
also includes a sampling of select local cheeses and crackers, and you
will receive a split bottle of wine to enjoy at home.
