Today’s day trip features a special triple-header
adventure consisting of 3 places that are fun, affordable, and all located in
the Amish Country! First we will visit the Choo Choo Barn, located in
Strasburg, Pennsylvania. See Lancaster County in miniature on a 1,700
square feet layout with over 150 hand-built animated figures and 22 operating
trains. Be on the look out for the train on the roof! At our next stop in
Bird-in-Hand, Pennsylvania enjoy an Amish style Wedding Feast with
our Amish hostess Sara. We’ll select the Bride and Groom for our group, along
with two people to be their “Side Sitters.” Later you will receive a recipe
card and a special gift to take home with you. We conclude our day
at Intercourse, Pennsylvania by visiting the Kitchen Kettle Village
before departing for home. Explore over 40 local shops in one outdoor
shopping village. At Kitchen Kettle Village you can immerse yourself in an
authentic Lancaster County experience. The village offers you shops filled with
delicious homemade Lancaster County foods, fresh baked goods, tasty canned goods
and other great gift items and souvenirs.
