Today we visit one of Washington, D.C.’s most
important and moving museums which is dedicated to never forgetting the dark
history, the millions of victims, and the amazing stories of survival that
collectively make up the Holocaust. The United States Holocaust Memorial
Museum’s exhibits trace the story of Jewish persecution under the Nazi
regime from 1933 to 1945 using authentic artifacts, oral histories and
computers. After our tour, enjoy a delicious family style lunch at
Carmine’s Restaurant, a legendary New York City family style Italian
restaurant now located in our nation’s capitol. Following our lunch here we
conclude our day with a drive around our nation’s capital to view the Monuments
and Memorials. Note: Photo-stops will be allowed if the traffic and
weather conditions permit.
Note: All visitors to the museum will be
processed through metal detectors and all bags will be scanned. No Exceptions!
