Day 1: Welcome Aboard! Join us for a fun-filled get-away full of spectacular scenery, holiday cheer and yuletide spirit in central Massachusetts. After checking into the Sturbridge Host Hotel for the next two nights, we are treated to a delicious dinner at the Publick House Restaurant, a historic Inn serving traditional New England fare. This evening we attend Christmas by Candlelight at Old Sturbridge Village. Walk through the serene grounds and visit the historic buildings illuminated by candlelight and firelight. You will be filled with the holiday spirit as you enjoy the simple pleasures of yesteryear: Christmas carolers, a horse-drawn sleigh ride, gingerbread and chestnuts. You will also learn the origins of many beloved Christmas customs: Santa Claus, Christmas trees, present giving, and Yule log and more!

Day 2: Enjoy a buffet breakfast at your leisure. With part of the morning free you may wish to simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the grand comforts of this lovely hotel. The hotel has an indoor pool, so bring your bathing suit. Late morning we depart for the Opera House where we have reserved seats for a performance of The Nutcracker. The Boston Ballet’s spectacular production of this classic Christmas tale is presented in a magical style on a grand scale. The annual production of The Nutcracker is always one of the company’s most popular ballets! Next you will have some leisure time to Christmas shop at Boston’s famous Quincy Market. Following a delicious dinner at a restaurant that serves up great local flavors, we end the day on a musical note. This evening we arrive at Symphony Hall where we have reserved seating for a special holiday concert presented by the world-famous Boston Pops Orchestra. The concert will feature traditional holiday music, Christmas carols, a holiday sing-a-long and an appearance by Santa Claus.

Day 3: After a buffet breakfast settle back and enjoy a holiday movie on our drive home, while reminiscing about your yuletide get-away to central Massachusetts filled with holiday cheer and music! On the way home, we will stop at the Yankee Candle Company where there will be time for some last minute holiday shopping. Happy Holidays!
