Day 1: Welcome Aboard! As Advent begins, the Lehigh
Valley comes alive in celebration of the American Christmas Spirit, and the town
of Bethlehem turns on thousands of white lights to warmly welcome all. Upon our
arrival in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania we will visit Christkindlmarkt,
one of the nations best holiday markets. The market features aisles of exquisite
handmade holiday creations made by some of the nation’s finest artisans, the
heart-warming sounds of live holiday music, authentic German and Austrian food
for you to enjoy and much, much more! Next we depart for the Central Moravian
Church for an afternoon of holiday entertainment filled with
wonderful Christmas carols and traditional Moravian Christmas hymns performed by
soloists and ensembles which will transform this afternoon into a delightful and
special holiday memory. After we check into our hotel for the night we are
treated to a delicious dinner at the hotel. Following dinner we will view
the annual “Bethlehem By Night” holiday displays. Our tour begins in
Bethlehem’s Northside historic district which will be illuminated by candle
light. Next we travel through Bethlehem’s Southside where multicolored lights
mark the city’s ethnic diversity, and includes a stop at the top of South
Mountain where we are treated to a spectacular night view of the Lehigh Valley.
Day 2: After a buffet breakfast we depart for
Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the home of the National Christmas Center.
Take a self-guided tourthrough the center and discover the
whimsy and fantasy, the magic and memories, and the history and traditions of
Christmas. Next we will enjoy a delicious family style luncheon at
Hershey Farm Restaurant, followed by an afternoon of holiday
entertainment at the American Music Theatre. Happy Holidays!
