August 14 (Saturday)

Train, Trolley & Alpacas
Huntingdon County, PA

Today’s day trip features a special triple-header adventure consisting of 3 unique places that are fun, affordable, and all within a leisurely drive from home! First we will meet our step-on guide in historic Fulton County, and begin our tour on board the East Broad Top Railroad for an excursion into the past. Enjoy a relaxing 50-minute train ride through picturesque Aughwich Valley on a regional narrow-gauge steam powered railroad system. Following our train ride we will visit the Rockhill Trolley Museum, and have a box luncheon served at the picnic pavilion. After lunch we will take a scenic three-mile trolley ride on an antique trolley, and later tour the museums restoration barns and visit the gift shop. Finally, we conclude our day at Terrace Mountain Alpacas. Here we will learn about these gentle animals, related to llamas, and marvel at exceptional quality of their fleece. Be sure to stop by and visit the gift shop before we depart for home.
