Nascar fans and racing enthusiast you asked for it so here it is…we are off
to the Michigan International Speedway, located in the scenic Irish Hills area
of southeastern Michigan. The track is a two-mile moderate-banked D-shaped super
speedway located on more than 1,400 acres near Brooklyn, MI. Michigan is now one
of the fastest tracks in Nascar due to its wide, sweeping corners and long
straight-aways; typical qualifying speeds are in excess of 190 mph and corner
entry speeds exceed 200 mph.
Day 1: Start Your Engines! Travel in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach
towards Brooklyn, Michigan, home to the Nascar LifeLock 400 Race at Michigan
International Speedway. We check into the Baymont Inn & Suites, in Maumee, Ohio,
(located 58 miles from Michigan International Speedway), with its first class
accommodations, for the next two nights. Bring your bathing suit to take
advantage of the hotel’s indoor pool. A dinner stop will be made en route to
Maumee, included.
Day 2: After a deluxe continental breakfast at your leisure we depart for the
Michigan International Speedway for the LifeLock 400 Race. Upon our arrival rev
up your race experience by watching the pageantry and spectacle of Nascar up
close with a Pre-Race Pit Pass. Tour the pits and see racing from a crewman’s
point of view before the big show! Who knows? You may even find a lugnut or two!
Before the race, enjoy a delicious lunch at the Hospitality Tent and receive a
$10.00 concession voucher. After lunch we head over to the race track to take
our reserved seats in either the Turn 1 section or Turn 3 section, (seating
confirmation will be made in early 2010). Note: As part of your Nascar package
you will receive a Racing Program and the use of a scanner to listen to the
conversations between your favorite driver and his pit crew. We return to our
hotel after the race for a good night’s rest.
Day 3: After a deluxe continental breakfast we depart for home taking with us
Nascar souvenirs, and vivid memories of the LifeLock 400 Race at Michigan
International
