(Maximum 47 Passengers)
The National Cathedral Flower Mart is Washington,
D.C.’s annual outdoor festival for garden enthusiasts and families. The Flower
Mart features annuals, perennials, landscape exhibits, Olmsted Woods and Garden
Tours. The Flower Mart encircles Washington National Cathedral with its
tents and includes more than 50 booths offering gardening items, handbags,
jewelry, and much, much more! Food vendors will be stationed throughout the
grounds offering a wide variety of foods including Asian specialties, pizza,
BBQ, Southern cuisine, lobster rolls, baked goods and more! Each year one of
Washington’s Embassies is honored. Following our visit here we depart for the
National Arboretum Gardens. A tram tour which highlights the
446-acres of the U.S. National Arboretum’s gardens, collections and natural
areas is included. During the 35-minute non-stop ride, you will hear an
informative, taped narrative about the Arboretum, its history, mission, and
research, and the display gardens and collections. Afterwards, enjoy a leisurely
stroll around the grounds, viewing what is currently in bloom or of special
interest, and don’t forget to visit the gift shop before we depart for home.
