The Wayside Theatre
“Harvey”
Middletown, VA

Welcome to the second oldest professional theatre in Virginia, The Wayside Theatre located in Middletown, Virginia. Today’s performance is the story of a likeable man and his imaginary friend “Harvey”, a 6-foot, three-and-a-half-inch-tall rabbit. When Elwood P. Dowd starts to introduce his imaginary friend, Harvey, a pooka in the shape of a 6-foot, three-and-a-half-inch-tall rabbit, to guests at a society party, his society obsessed sister, Veta, has seen as much of his eccentric behavior as she can tolerate. She decides to have him committed to a sanitarium to spare her daughter Myrtle Mae and their family from future embarrassment. Of course everyone thinks he’s crazy. But hold on a minute, who is really the crazy one here? So, sit back, relax and be amused by the Wayside Theatre presentation of this Classic American play. Before the show, enjoy a delicious luncheon at the historic Wayside Inn, nestled in the Shenandoah Valley and served by staff in authentic Colonial costumes. Please provide a meal choice when making your reservations. Your choices are Smothered Chicken, Blackened Prime Rib or Grilled Salmon.
