March 26-28 (Friday-Sunday)

Day 1: Welcome Aboard! Travel in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach to the legendary town of Newport, Rhode Island, and discover a world of exceptional American elegance and inspirational architecture. After checking into our hotel for the next two nights, we are treated to a delicious dinner at a popular local restaurant. The hotel is ideally located across from Newport’s Easton’s Beach, and is only a short walk away from the famous Cliff Walk, a public access walkway along the coast. There is also a sidewalk to the shops and mansions located on Bellevue Avenue (1 mile) or to the busy Newport harbor (1.25 miles). Bring your bathing suit and take advantage of the hotel’s heated indoor pool.

Day 2: After a hearty continental breakfast you are free to design your morning and do as you wish! You may choose to sleep in, walk on the beach, swim in the heated indoor pool, or simply sit, relax and read a good book. Later we meet our step-on guide for a narrated driving tour of Newport’s two famous scenic routes. The first will be Bellevue Avenue, which is lined with opulent “summer cottages”, and next we travel along Ten Mile Ocean Drive, where we will view more stunning estates and enjoy spectacular views of the ocean. Enjoy some free time in Newport for lunch and shopping on your own along the busy harbor. We conclude our day at Newport Vineyards where you will be treated to a guided tour of the winery, followed by a tasting of selected wines and a visit to the gift shop. Dinner is on your own at one of the many restaurants that is within walking distance of the hotel.

Day 3: After a hearty continental breakfast we depart for Mohegan Sun Casino. Upon our arrival you will receive a casino bonus compliments of Mohegan Sun Casino. Test your luck, roll the dice, and enjoy the thrill of winning at the myriad of gaming choices at the casino. Later we depart for home with fond memories of a fun filled New England weekend get-away.
