Today’s day trip features a special triple-header adventure
consisting of 3 unique local places that are fun, affordable, and all within a
short drive from home! First we will visit the Morris Meadows Museum
where you will go back in time to yesteryear and experience historic
preservation at its best! The tour guide will take you to each theme room
which denotes past times; such as a one-room school, grist mill works, kitchen,
etc. You may hear stories about the Morris family and the various antiques that
are on display. Also, you may hear songs being played on the antique player
piano, and smell the tempting aroma of popcorn being popped on an old cast iron
wood burning stove. A delicious buffet luncheon is included and served in
the beautiful banquet room at the museum. After lunch it is time to play
BINGO! Play up to 20 games of bingo and win PRIZES!
Later in the afternoon we will visit Brown’s Orchard & Farm Market,
nestled among the rolling hills and green valleys of Southern York County. At
this unique country market you will find a wide variety of locally grown fruits
and vegetables and much, much more all under one roof. Before departing for
home, we conclude our day at Naylor Wine Cellars for a guided tour of
the winery, followed by a tasting of selected Naylor wines.
