Welcome to the second oldest professional theatre in Virginia, The Wayside Theatre located in Middletown, Virginia. Today’s performance is “Idols of the King.” It’s a musical tribute to the King of Rock-n-Roll, his legacy, his career and his incredibly loyal fans. Remember the Days of Rock when “The Pelvis” was the King. Hilarious and touching vignettes of his fans travel to Vegas to catch him in concert create the backdrop for this musical tribute. The adorning fans stories are framed by the King in Concert as Elvis sings 16 of his hit songs including “Blue Suede,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” “Shake, Rattle, & Roll,” “Jail House Rock,” “Love Me Tender,” and “Heartbreak Hotel,” and many more. Before the show, enjoy a delicious luncheon at the historic Wayside Inn, nestled in the Shenandoah Valley and served by staff in authentic Colonial costumes. Please provide a meal choice when making your reservations. Your choices are Smothered Chicken, Blackened Prime Rib or Grilled Salmon.
