May 27 (Tuesday)
Red, White and Blue Revue
Camden, NJ
(Minimum 40 Passengers)
It’s a sentimental journey back to wartime
America, when Rosie was riveting, the Andrews Sisters were singing, and the boys
were “over there” fighting the Axis. Enjoy a live USO-style show which
recreates the nostalgia of the times and fills the air with the sounds of
swing. The cast outfitted in period dress and backed by the Harry Winkle Band
perform standards like “You’ll Never Know“, “I’ll Be Seeing You”, “It’s Been
a Long, Long Time”, “The White Cliffs of Dover” and much more. Some members
of our group will have the opportunity to participate in the show, and to bring
all of this to “the men and women on the front”. The Red, White and Blue
Revue is a fond salute to a time not too long ago, a mixture of high times
and high camp, and a hearty dose of flag-waving and patriotism. Your day trip
includes the Red, White and Blue Revue, a 90-minute docent-guided tour
of the Battleship New Jersey, and a delicious catered lunch which
will include a hot pasta entree, a variety of cold deli sandwiches, green salad,
dessert, a variety of hot and cold beverages, and condiments. Note:
This day trip requires a minimum group size of 40 passengers! Steps required
and you must be able to climb ladders. Wear comfortable shoes (no heels).
