Chestertown Tea Party Festival

In celebration of colonial resistance against
British rule, Chestertown, on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, holds its Annual Tea
Party Festival. The re-enactment of the dumping of British tea on May 23,
1774 into the Chester River is the focal point of the Tea Party Festival. All
festival events take place in the historic district of 18th century Chestertown
along the majestic Chester River. Over 120 expert craftspeople, from
blacksmiths and candle makers, to weavers and woodworkers will display their
wares and demonstrate their crafts. Food booths will offer a wide variety of
Eastern Shore delicacies, such as Maryland crab cakes, barbeque, fish, clams and
much more! All day there will be free entertainment to enjoy. Have a meal,
on your own, before we depart for home.
