At the age of 18, Lawrence joined the now-legendary cast of The Carol Burnett
Show. Seven seasons later, she created the blue-haired Thelma Harper,
better known as Mama. Lawrence moved on to Mama’s Family,
a successful six-year spin-off still seen today, and now tours the country with
