Christmas in Boston

Day 1: Welcome Aboard!  Travel in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach to one of the most historic cities in the United States - Boston, home to the world-famous Boston Pops Orchestra.  We arrive at the Radisson Hotel Boston, which is located in the heart of the city, and steps from the Boston Common, between Copley Square and the Financial District.  This evening we are treated to dinner at “Cheers”, followed by a performance of The Nutcracker.  The Boston Ballet’s spectacular production of this classic Christmas tale is presented in a magical style on a grand scale.  The annual production of The Nutcracker is always one of the company’s most popular ballets!                                

Day 2: After breakfast, it’s a day of leisure to enjoy holiday shopping in downtown Boston.  Awaiting you are the chic shops found along Newbury Street, Boston’s newly restored marketplace with its full of variety of shops and eateries, and the enclosed comfort of the Prudential Center.  Tonight a delicious dinner is included at one of Boston’s great restaurants, after which you can relax and enjoy a narrated driving tour of Boston at twilight.  See the city decorated for the holidays and view the festive holiday lights on Boston Common!  Following the tour we attend a live holiday concert presented by the world-famous Boston Pops Orchestra at Symphony Hall.  Hear traditional holiday music, Christmas carols, a holiday sing-a-long and a visit by Santa Claus as we end our day on a musical note!    

Day 3: After breakfast we depart for Newport, Rhode Island.  We visit the Breakers Mansion, beautifully decorated for the holidays.  The grandest of Newport’s “summer cottages,” and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family’s social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America.  After lunch we depart for home with many unique and heartfelt yuletide memories of the wonderful sights and sounds we experienced in Boston.  Happy Holidays!
