Vermont Fall Foliage

You asked for it, so here it is a Vermont Fall Foliage tour on the weekend!

Day 1: Welcome Aboard!  Today we journey through flaming fall foliage to scenic Killington, Vermont, and the Mendon Mountain View Lodge, which is located in the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains.  Bring your bathing suit.  The lodge has a heated outdoor pool, game room with a hot tub, and two saunas.  Included upon arrival at the lodge, we will enjoy a welcome reception, followed by a delicious dinner.

Day 2: After a full breakfast we meet our step-on guide, and depart for Neighborly Farms.  At the farm you will taste some of the many varieties of delicious organic cheeses that are made there, and learn how they are produced.  A exquisite luncheon is included at the luxurious “Trapp Family Lodge”.  You will have some time to explore the lodge and property, and learn about the family inspired musical and film “The Sound of Music” before we continue onto Waterbury.  We arrive at Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory for a guided tour, that includes a tasting of the flavor of the day.  We conclude our day at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters.  Learn about the process of growing and roasting coffee from tree to cup, and enjoy the taste of freshly brewed coffee before returning to the lodge.  

Day 3: After a full breakfast we meet our step-on guide, and depart for the  Vermont Teddy Bear Company.  You will get a behind-the-scenes view of the factory, and learn how the beautiful bears are made.  A delicious Country Inn luncheon is included at the Waybury Inn - “Inn of the Bob Newhart Show”.  We continue onto the Vermont Soap Company, where Master Soapmakers craft mild, natural, handmade soap for you to purchase.  Our next destination is the Otter Creek Micro Brewery, where you will learn the brewing process from beginning to end before sampling the results fresh from the source!  We conclude our day with a photo-stop at the Pulp Mill Double Covered Bridge, the only remaining operational 2-lane covered bridge in Vermont.  This evening we are treated to a delicious dinner at a Country Inn before returning to the lodge.

Day 4: After a full breakfast we depart for home with your taste buds filled with the delectable and the distinct flavors of Vermont, the memories of  flaming fall colors, and the fresh Vermont air.
