Coastal New England

From Presidents to Pilgrims

Massachusetts

Day 1: Welcome Aboard!  Travel in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach to the coastal town of Hull, Massachusetts.  We check into the Nantasket Beach Hotel, with its exquisite accommodations for the next three nights.  The hotel overlooks Nantasket Beach and the Atlantic Ocean.  Bring your bathing suit and make use of the hotel’s indoor/outdoor pool and ocean fitness health spa.  Tonight you will be treated to a delicious dinner.

Day 2: After a hearty continental breakfast we visit the John Adams and John Quincy Adams Birthplaces, the oldest presidential birthplaces in the United States.  The tour will include the “Old House”, residence of the Adams Family for four generations, the formal gardens and orchard, and the “Church of the Presidents’, considered the finest Greek Revival Church in New England, where both presidents are laid to rest alongside their First Ladies.  Our touring continues to the John F. Kennedy Library & Museum, where the life and legacy of President Kennedy’s thousand days is brought to life in 25 dramatic exhibits!  Experience President Kennedy’s leadership and vision!  We return to the hotel in the afternoon with time to sit and relax, take a stroll along the beach, and simply enjoy the comforts of this fabulous hotel.  This evening dine on a sumptuous dinner while overlooking the water.

Day 3: After a hearty continental breakfast we meet our step-on guide, and depart for Plymouth, “America’s Hometown.”  Along the way, we learn about the landing of the Pilgrims in 1620; visit Plymouth Rock, the Mayflower II, and the National Monument to the Forefathers, dedicated to the virtues of the Pilgrims.  You will have some time to explore the Plymouth waterfront, and browse its shops and restaurants before we arrive at the Plimoth Plantation, the 1627 Pilgrim Village and the Wampanoag Homesite.  Enjoy interacting with the Native Americans in traditional dress, practicing their skills, and costumed interpreters performing daily tasks including cooking, harvesting, gardening, and tending to the farm animals.  Later we return to the hotel to sit, relax, and freshen up before going out for a delicious dinner at an area ocean view restaurant.

Day 4: Start the day with a hearty continental breakfast, at your leisure.  With part of the morning free you can choose to sit, relax, and experience the comforts of this fabulous hotel one last time.  We depart for home with vivid memories of your coastal adventures, and the fresh New England sea air!
